Beautiful Jewish Yad or Torah Pointer, made of Silver, with inset black gemstone. This religious icon is used optionally in liturgical services to indicate the place that is being read on a Torah (biblical) scroll, thus eliminating the necessity of touching the sacred manuscript with the hand. Many yadayim are prized as works of art. This one, with it’s careful silver craftsmanship and elaborately designed details such as the David, is no exception. Purchased from antique store in historically Jewish district of Lodz, Poland.
